The Solar Eclipse on Friday January 15, 2010 will be the first this year. This Eclipse is an annular one – the moon will pass in front of the sun, but will not block it completely, as in a total eclipse. Instead, there will be a ring of fire, or a solar ring, visible around the edge of the darkened moon.

The Eclipse will be seen all over the Indian Ocean especially in Maldives Island, the best place to see the said eclipse as it will be seen for almost 11 minutes long.

I really do want to see the Solar Eclipse on Friday January 15, 2010 because it’s a long time since the last time I saw this kind of major science event. Most especially it is an Annular Solar Eclipse on Friday.
