It’s been almost a week since my last post, and I tell you, I really miss blogging. Sorry for those people whom I’ve promised to update the links in my blog on time of Mayweather-Marquez Fight. I promise not to let you down on Pacquiao-Cotto bout. Anyway, I’m not around for a few days because we road test our new 2009 Mitsubishi Montero and to Pangasinan, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur. And at the same time took a short and quick vacation.

Some of the particular places are Manaoag, Baguio, La Union, Vigan, Laoag, Batac, Burgos, Bangui and the wonderful Pagupud.

Last Sunday morning 7am to be exact, we depart from Manila to Pangasinan particularly Manaoag for the blessing of our new 2009 Mitsubishi Montero. We took a three plus hours ride to get to Manaoag. Since the new car is still in Break-In period we’re just cruising around 80 km/h to 100 km/h and took North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) to exit at Tarlac, Tarlac. We arrived at Manaog Church at around 10:25 am. It was a hot morning and a lot of people and cars around the Manaog church proper; there are a lot of people who wants to bless their cars so the traffic was heavy.

After the car blessing we left immediately and drove to Baguio. We didn’t recognize we haven’t eaten our lunch so we stopped over at Chowking Rosario, Pangasinan. One of the Chowking service crew told us that Manny Pacquiao and his team ate at the said establishment at around 9 am. We didn’t get lucky we arrived there at 1pm. Anyhow, after we eat we continue our journey and drove to Baguio via Marcos Hi-Way. We arrive at our house in Baguio at around 3pm.

We rest and immediately go out as we don’t have time to explore Baguio because the next day we’re gone to Pagudpud. At Baguio City we just went to Burnham Park, SM City Baguio and ate our dinner at Mann Hann inside SM Baguio’s Terraces. As I’ve said it’s a quick and short vacation and we don’t have time to go to some favorite and famous tourist spots in Baguio like Strawberry Field, Camp John Hay, Baguio Cathedral, Session Road, The Mansion, Mines View Park and other cool spots in Baguio City.

The following day at 5am we left Baguio City and our new destination is Pagudpud. It’s a long 9-hour drive as we decided to visit our other destinations after we came from Pagudpud. We had 2 stop over at Jollibee San Fernando, La Union for breakfast and at Batac Famous Emapanada Spot at Batac Ilocos Norte for our lunch. We didn’t found any problems regarding our way as we were equipped by a Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS (Global Positioning System). We arrived at Pagudpud at around 4pm plus.

So after a night at Pagudpud Beach we came back and visit the other tourist spots in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. Some tourist spots that we’ve been to are as follows:

Pagudpud Beach, Patapat Zigzag Bridge, Patapat Waterfalls, Paraiso ni Anton, Blue Lagoon, Cape Bajeador Lighthouse at Burgos, Coastal Rock Formation at Burgos, Bangui Windmills, Fort Ilocandia at Vigan, Laoag, Paoay Church, and the Baluarte of Chavit Singson at Vigan.

I’ll be posting our photos and the summary of our Road Trip from Baguio, Pagudpud and the rest of Ilocos. I’m in a hurry today because I’m preparing for a basketball game tonight at the Arellano Gym.
