Ray Allen sets new finals record and passed records set by NBA 50 greatest player member Scottie Pippen with seven 3′s during the 1997 NBA Finals against Utah Jazz and Kenny Smith with also 7 3-pointers during his stint in Houston Rockets in 1995 NBA Finals.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics tied series 1-1 against the Los Angeles Lakers because of hussle plays from rondo who scored the crucial baskets for the Celtics and sets a triple-double performance for this game.
Kobe Bryant was limited for below 20 points while nursing early foul trouble that really causes the Lakers. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum had a good game with 20 plus points each but wasn’t good enough to win the game. Ron Artest shoots misserable with 1-10 from the field and fouls out of the game during the last 2 minutes.
Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett was totally non-factor for this game but still the Celtics managed to win behind Rondo and Ray Allen’s NBA Finals Record for most 3 point shots made. The series shifts to Boston on Tuesday and will start at 9PM ET.
