NBA Asia Challenge in Manila
After several superstars including Kobe Bryant have visited Manila to endorse their New Basketball Shoes, it’s time for real NBA Game Action. Live on September 11, 2009 Friday 7:30pm at the Araneta Coliseum is the NBA Asia Challenge. Although Players of the visiting NBA are composed of some oldies legends, it will be an exciting event for the Filipinos to watch our own PBA Stars and PBA Legends against the NBA Legends.
Below are the details:
Five (5) NBA legends are coming to Manila to meet the basketball-crazy Filipino fans and to treat them to a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle: an exhibition game against a selection of PBA players. Coming over to play are 7-time NBA Champion Robert Horry, All-Star Vlade Divac, 5-time NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway and 2-time Slam Dunk champion and 9-time NBA All-Star Dominique Wilkins. Coaching them will be 6-time NBA champion and 6-time MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
These legends will be joined by approximately 5 to 6 up and coming talents from the NBA Developmental League or D-League, along with the New Jersey Nets Dunking Divas and Sly Fox, the New Jersey Nets’ mascot. This will also be a rare opportunity for Filipinos to not only see these accomplished NBA legends in action but also to meet these accomplished athletes and NBA ambassadors.
