Lately I’ve been driving a bit late since my wife is going to work at dawn because she is in graveyard shift schedule. We all know that it is danger nowadays in streets and alleys along Caloocan city especially at night. So I decided to buy anew motorcycle which I will post my review whenever I have time.

Having a motorcycle doesn’t mean that we’re already safe at night, but what could make me more confident driving late at night is when I carry a utility knife that is not that dangerous but also it can be used whenever in case of emergency.

I could also use it in Sunday garden barbecue.

I’ve recently stumbled at globe telecom’s website and was a bit unaware that their site is kind of new in the sense of design and interface. I explored on because I was looking for their promo on broadband DSL which I prefer now after I was disappointed with the customer service of PLDT.

As I browse on their site I found out a page on How To Boost Your Globe Tattoo Broadband USB Signal and since I am currently using a globe tattoo USB broadband I’ve give it a try since the signal of Globe in my area were switching from time to time from 3G, WCDMA, HSDPA, EDGE and GPRS Network.

Here’s the process and screenshot on How To Boost Your Globe Tattoo USB:

Reminders: be sure that your area has a 3G or HSDPA signal.

How do you adjust Network settings?
Once the GUI is installed in your computer and launched, go to
TOOLS> OPTIONS> NETWORK> NETWORK TYPE
choose WCDMA Only or 3G Only.

After I applied the settings I immediately connected to the net and noticed that I now only receiving 3G and HSDPA signals. I felt the burst of speed in my connection. Before I boost my Globe Tattoo Broadband Signal I am used on receiving either 3G or EDGE which is kind of awful because of inconsistent speed but now I am receiving around 500kbps up to 1.6Mbps download which just suffice me.

After this settings I saw the ways on how to upgrade globe tattoo software which I performed also that I will also post this coming days. If some of you guys are having problems on your connection with Globe Tattoo USB keep me noted by commenting below.

Just a while ago I received a text message coming from my former trainer that says “try to text UNLITXT TELUS to 8888“. I was easily convinced that its true and yes it really is for real. I received a confirmation message and says that I can now use the Unlimited text to Globe-TM subscribers for the day.

After arriving at home I immediately search for the UNLITXT TELUS in the internet and found out that many people are also curious on what could have been the best promo from Globe Telecom. But then I was wrong, many people from the net are discussing if this is true or what.

Tough this was not yet proven and no offers from globe. Some people says that UNLITXT TELUS promo might have their sim cards cut after it expires.

Maybe I should wait for the result tomorrow to know. Kindly pass and spread this post for the others who might be scammed by UNLITXT TELUS.

UPDATE:

I just received a text from 8888 that my UNLITXT TELUS has expired. So far I haven’t notice any signs of cut of line or whatsoever and even my globe prepaid balance were not deducted any cent. But the weird thing is that I registered last night around 7 PM but I received the expiration of UNLITXT TELUS PROMO around 11 AM today.

Stay foot for the update! Please comment below if you notice something weird with your Globe Sim Card.

Are you one of those people who recently bought a Nokia mobile phone? here’s a news flash for you in case you didn’t heard the news, The Nokia Philippines will replace potentially hazardous cellphone chargers after confirming that the chargers could give users an electric shock.

The Nokia Charger Exchange program will only replace three charger models – AC-3E, AC-3U and AC-4U – manufactured between April and October this year.

This charger models that included in the list of Nokia Charger Exchange program were reportedly have some problems like the plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose and separate, exposing the charger’s internal components that can lead into an electric shock.

Nokia said that AC-3E and AC-3U chargers purchased before June 15, 2009 and AC-4U chargers purchased before April 13, 2009 are not within scope of the Nokia Charger Exchange program.

Here is the 3-step process of the Nokia Charger Exchange Program:

Chargers within the scope of the exchange program can be easily identified through the following three step process.

Step one – Identify the charger model number to determine if it is within scope of the program. Eligible models are AC-3E, AC-3U and AC-4U. If the charger model is not listed, it is not within scope of the program and no further action is required.

Step two – Determine if the charger was manufactured by BYD. If your charger label has the letters “BYD” it may be within the scope of the program. If BYD is not identified on your charger label, it is not within the scope of the program and no further action is required.

Step three – Identify charger production date code. If you own the AC-3E or AC-3U, and your charger model contains production codes between “925” and “932” it is within the scope of the program and should be exchanged for a free replacement charger. If any other code is listed it is not within scope of the program and no further action is required.

If you own the AC-4U, and your charger model contains production codes between “916” and “943” it is within the scope of the program and should be exchanged for a free replacement charger.

Consumers are asked to visit Nokia Charger Exchange Program Website or send an SMS with the following format “charger model, manufacturer name, 26 digit charger serial number” to 0905-3224923 (for Globe subscribers), 0920-2678978 (for Smart subscribers) or 0922-8589360 (for Sun subscribers) so they can be assisted. Or they may call the Nokia Careline at (632) 886-1234 between 8:30am – 8:30pm from Mondays to Sundays.

Image Legend:

1. Model number

2. Identification number

I’m just wondering on what are the ways to send money from Philippines to USA because I haven’t tried it before. My dad asked me a favor if I could send him money right away instead to wait for my brother-in-law to arrive in United States this coming Nov. 11 for their upcoming Wowowee show live in Las Vegas on Nov. 15. He needed the money for some personal reasons and since I’ll be sending US Dollars I’m a bit confused.

The first thing that entered in my mind was Western Union Money Transfer but I’m a bit hesitant coz’ it is much expensive as I’ll be sending more than $500, so I tried other options. I remembered the other money transfer service called Xoom Global Money Transfer so I immediately go to their website and explore it, to my disappointment they don’t offer any Ways to send Money from Philippines to USA.

So after checking the Xoom Global Money Transfer I search another one and found MoneyGram I immediately check the price on how much will be the cost, to my surprise it was a rousing P2000 for just money transfer. So I immediately ditched the MoneyGram in my list and continued to find other options.

Oh, by the way, I know some of you were wondering why just I don’t use PayPal instead so that it’s easier and cheaper. Well, my dad doesn’t know how to even explore the net so that would be a big problem. Anyways, after exploring some possible options, I called the nearest Western Union Money Transfer here in my location. I asked how much it will cost me and the operator told me that I’ll be charge $18 USD for the principal amount bracket $200-$3000. That is way cheaper than MoneyGram.

After all my inquiries regarding on Ways to Send Money from Philippines to USA, I called my dad and told him that Western Union Money Transfer is the cheapest. Then after all the effort I made, he told me that I should go to the nearest Philippine National Bank branch here and inquire because they are near to a PNB branch in Los Angeles. He added that the cost on sending money on PNB is way cheaper for only $6 if you’re a Global Filipino Member of the said bank. Well I’m a member, because he sends money via PNB Global Filipino Remittance so I think I’ll do the same thing.

With less than a week to go, the final countdown is on. This is the time to host your own super Halloween party for 2009.

People have unpacked their Halloween Props and Costumes, Adults and children are likely to decide their own Halloween Props and Costumes for their own Halloween party or when attending other parties such as Halloween costume parties, costume contests, masquerade balls, themed night clubs, and yes, even for trick or treating!

How about you? Do you already have your own Halloween Props and Costumes for this year’s Halloween? Or maybe you preferred to just spend your Halloween watching movies like “SAW VI” and “Paranormal Activity”. In most countries the date November 1 is not just for Halloween, for them, this is the time to visit their love ones in cemetery.

Anyhow, attending costume parties is definitely fun. Halloween Props and Costumes don’t need money, it just needs effort and time to prepare, and you can even make Halloween Props and Costumes on your own personal things.

Feel like the real white lady, Haunted Tree Man, Jack the Scarecrow, The Boogeyman for costumes. Fill your Halloween Party with Spider Web, Carved Pumpkins and Dark Black Wall and Environment for your props.

There’s a lot of Halloween Props and Costumes for your Halloween Party just put Time, Effort and Preparation. Trick or Treat!

Last Friday I went to Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Caloocan Office to register to vote on May 2010 Presidential Elections. It was my first time to vote on 2010 although I was already 23 years of age. I was kind of lazy back then and I didn’t register to vote when I supposedly voted last time during the Senatorial Elections in 2006, I was 19 years of age back then.

But now, I realized that voting is something that you have to do as a citizen of this country. I realized that the vote that I’m going to do is so important for the future of our falling country and the change that people wanted for a long period of time. I am also inspired by the ABS-CBN campaign for the May 2010 Presidential Elections with the slogan of “Ako ang Simula” which is very true. Who’s going to start something for our country? If I myself would not choose the right person to lead us to the right path that this country needs.

Now I can say “Ako ang Simula” after registering to vote for the May 2010 Presidential Elections. For those people who are eligible and not yet registered to vote for the May 2010 Presidential Elections, I encourage you to register now. Registration is still open to all eligible citizens until October 31, 2009.

Registration to vote for the May 2010 Presidential Elections is so easy and is hussle free. You’ll be finish within 1 hour or less unlike other government agencies that took you almost a day for waiting for such thing.

Okay here’s the step by step process to register for the May 2010 Presidential Elections:

Requirements:

1 one valid ID such as Driver’s License, Passport, SSS ID or any government issued ID. NBI clearance is also accepted.

1 photocopy of your valid ID.

Process:

1. Go to any Commission on Election (COMELEC) office near you.

2. Get a form on the STEP 1 area and show your valid ID for verification they will attach your photo copied valid ID on your form. (Be sure that you know your barangay)

3. Fill out the form completely and go back to STEP 1 area. (Be careful with the “Mother’s Name” part because they require your Mother’s Maiden Name)

4. After verifying your form, proceed to STEP 2 area. (The Interview part as they call it but they are just going to check if you miss a part)

5. After they check your form proceed to Step 3 area and pass your form, they will write your application number and wait to be called they will return the form to you.

6. Proceed to STEP 4 area for the picture taking (I think this is for the Voter’s ID)

7. Proceed to STEP 5 the last part for finger printing and pass the form. They will tear out your acknowledgment receipt and be sure to keep it. You’re done!

Registering to vote for the May 2010 Presidential Elections is so easy so don’t waste your vote and register now for the future of our country and for the change that we all need.
