Manny Pacquiao defeated Miguel Cotto via 12th round TKO (Referee Stoppage) to capture WBO welterweight belt and the new WBC diamond belt

Manny Pacquiao stops Cotto in 12th round. Manny Pacquiao the worlds pound for pound king and the new WBO welterweight champion puts another show like what he did on his last two fights. Pacman put another dominating performance before referee Kenny Bayless step in to stop the damaged Puerto Rican (Miguel Cotto) taking any more punishment 55 seconds into the final round.

It was a good start for Miguel Cotto but a great finish for Manny Pacquiao that’s how I describe it. Pacquiao used his blazing speed and relentless power from his both hands to win his seventh title in seven weight classes and solidify his stature as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Cotto finished the fight with so many cuts like there was a fountain of blood on his face.

Pacquiao started the 1st round testing his opponent’s power and started his game plan the following round. Pacquiao then dropped Cotto with a big right hand early in the third round, but he’s not badly hurt and finished the round strong. After Pacquiao puts Cotto at the canvass late in the fourth round, Cotto was never the same throughout the fight.

Cotto’s Team wanted to stop the fight at the end of the 9th round but Miguel’s pride pushed him to fight but he’s just surviving every round. Blood flowed down on Cotto’s face and Pacquiao kept coming after him relentlessly that forced the referee to stop the fight in 12th round.
