After a few weeks of talk and negotiating, Allen Iverson is now officially a Memphis Grizzlies player. Allen Iverson, a 10-time all star and a former NBA Most Valuable Player signs Thursday and welcomed by Memphis Grizzlies’ fans at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

Reports says, Iverson Agreed on a one year contract amounting about $3.5 Million dollars. Allen Iverson expressed that this year would be personal for him as many people and critics talked that his career is on its downside and in the verge of retirement.
The Memphis Grizzlies signed Iverson to help the team’s low production in offense that results to a 24-58 win-loss record last season. Iverson is expecting that this year would be a rookie like season for him as he tries to remake the losing character Memphis team into a brand new Memphis Grizzlies winning team. The Memphis Grizzlies did not enter the playoffs since 2006 and didn’t even win a single game in playoffs.
The Grizzlies are hoping for more than a revival. They want to go well beyond just making the playoffs and boost interest in a franchise struggling to sell seats in Memphis.
Iverson is the 2nd biggest name ever to stretch across a Memphis Grizzlies Jersey since Pau Gasol – the only All-Star in franchise history. Iverson stressed out that he wants to compete and wants to be a coach inside the playing court.

I think Iverson would make a big impact on Memphis and he will regain his old form. Like he was in Philly when he crosses over like breaking his defenders’ ankles and shoots like insane over a much taller players. The excitement in watching Iverson will be back again.
Allen Iverson will start his season against his recent team when the Detroit Pistons Visit the Memphis Grizzlies on October 28.
