2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition Results/Review
It was a shocking afternoon at the Araneta Coliseum during the 2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition. The FEU Pep Squad stole the show and stood on top of all, as they upset the defending champions UP Pep Squad.

The FEU Pep Squad won the 2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition and garnered a total score of 86.1 to dethrone University of the Philippines. They also give heartbreak for the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe as UST failed to capture this year’s Crown. And For the first time in UAAP Cheerdance Competition history UST finished outside the top 3.
The Routine of FEU uses earth music and this season’s UAAP theme logo Sarimanok to give the crowd a clean and powerful performance.
Meanwhile, the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion garnered 83.4 score to shock everyone and finished 1st runner-up in the contest. This is the first time that Ateneo enters the top 3 for the UAAP Cheerdance Competition. But it was their time to shine as they executed their routine well and delivered the most remarkable move of the Competition this year “The Moonwalk Dance”.
The crowd favorite UP Pep Squad finished at 3rd place disappointing a huge number of fans with their not so flawless routine that gave them only 83.1 score.
On the other hand, the remaining schools keep it competitive with their own routines. UST Sallinggawi Dance Troupe with the Egypt like Pyramid, Adamson Pep Squad with the feather props, NU Pep Squad with a improved performance, UE Pep Squad did a nice routine and the De La Salle Animo Squad with the mask props.

The UAAP did it again this year with a wonderful and exciting 2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition.
well, i’ve watched the copetition live and feu really pulled it off. right on the mark!
but it was the first time ust didn’t became part of the top 3, and i’m quite sad about that–considering i am a thomasian.
but then again, there’s always next time. LET US TASTE THE VICTORY WE ALWAYS HAVE.
the 8-time cheerdance competition will so be back next season! can’t wait for that. let others shine naman. beat the record na lang.
pero to all winners, i love you guys, i love your performances. but sorry, i’m kinda biased. you won’t take away the thomasian spirit within me.
see you guys next season.
